Cellular Jail

The Cellular Jail was built in 1906 and was given the name ‘Cellular’ owing to its withdrawn confinement cells. In olden times, the jail was being used to imprison the freedom fighters by the then colonial masters from Britain. Cellular Jail has witnessed some of the gruesome acts committed on the mankind and is being visited by many tourists throughout the year to pay respect to the prisoners who lost their lives fighting for the freedom of the country.

Anthropological Museum

Anthropological Museum is a perfect place to hop, if you want to get beautiful insights into the tribal life of the natives of Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
